Southern Uplands Partnership - Scotland

Southern Uplands PartnershipSouthern Uplands Partnership (Scotland): a local development NGO whose mission is to sustain employment and rural communities in the South of Scotland.
The Southern Uplands Partnership is a small charitable organisation that has been working for 15 years to keep people living and working in the region. Established by local people, its role is to bring together businesses, communities and organisations to explore new ideas and to develop new projects. EuroRural Tourism is a good example of what can be done when people come together to develop a new way of working. We think it may be the start of a new form of tourism, where the visitor can experience “secret” Scotland without harming it or reducing what makes it so special.
